The Sports and Social Clubs Opening Night
The station's first Sports and Social Club opened its doors for business in June 1965.
The Station Superintendent Mr Richard Green pulled the first pint to toast the success of the new venture, after complimenting the chairman and committee on their hard work
During the evening the finals of the Table Tennis tournament were played and Mr A P Bond defeated Miss C M Lamb who was presented with a cup donated by the first Superintendent Alan Sherry.
